Savvy Stables in Escondido - Accepted for 1 Star!

I received my acceptance letter yesterday for the 1 Star - Parelli Professional Course.

YAHOO!!!!!!!!YAHOO!!!!!!!YAHOO!!!!!!

It was a lot of work preparing for the application process, but I got r done...

I wasn't expecting the emotion that came up when I read the words...

"Pat and I would like to invite you to join our Instructor Course August 23-28th in Pagosa Springs - Congratulations on being accepted!"

Passed Level 3 online!

Received my results and I passed!  I encourage you to pass your levels also - it's keeps you focused and motivated!  I'm on to recording my video for my 1 Star Instructor application - Last year I passed my Level 3 Liberty, so after my video is done for instructor I'll prepare for my Level 3 Freestyle!

Savvy Stables and the my "Horsenality Report"

I received my "Horsenality Report" and began reading it immediately.  It's a lovely addition to my Parelli Collection.  Linda made it so personal.

I haven't read the whole report - yes - it's that big - but I did try something Linda suggested.

  • when Vegas pins her ears and swishes her tail - pet her - you will blow her mind!

I did it plus I gave her a cookie - by the end of our session we made a little progress.  We loped better and did our first jump together.

Sadly, our beloved Savvy Stables is For Sale

We need to relocate to Grass Valley, Ca to help manage a family ranch.  All is not lost;  I will  establish Savvy Stables North there.

Southern Californians write to the Equine Affaire in Pomona your dissappointment Parelli isn't there.

I've been going to the Equine Affaire in Pomona, CA for the last four years and hate that we don't have any Parelli Demos. Of course I'd love Pat and Linda to be there, but I would still be happy with seeing local instructors and students giving demonstrations. I'm going to write to the vice president and program manager expressing my concerns. Maybe if we all write - something might change.

Below is two email addresses to write:

Equine Affaire, Pomona, CA

This was the first year I spent the night up there, and we stayed in the campground - it is a really nice, clean campground with great showers. Thursday was very relaxing, because it isn't as crowded. Thursday night we watched some of the "Cowboy Challenge" and the second entry was a Parelli student. She did well - and I was really proud of and excited for her.

My husband, Mike, filimed my Level 3 On-Line audition today and I'm sending it off tomorrow!  Wish me luck!

Between the rain and recovering from my sprained ankle; I had slowed down, but today we accomplished a big goal!

On to Level 3 Freestyle.

Savvy Stables in Escondido, CA

I hope everyone is enjoying the New Year!  I sprained my ankle on December 27th and thank the Lord I'm healing nicely.

I really want to become a Parelli 1 Star Instructor, so having that goal in mind I want to receive my Level 3.  I have passed L3 Liberty and I'm focusing on On Line.

Well, I feel I'm Level 4 On Line, but Vegas is letting me know different.

Since I sprained my ankle I can't get after her like I tend to do, so I've really had to change my game plans.

Merry Christmas from Savvy Stables

Just a little note to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

Love,  Cindy and Vegas

These are truly wonderful.  I'm watching Level 3 online and the amount of knowledge that Pat is sharing is worth it's weight in gold!

Savvy Stables and the new Levels

pat and me.JPG

I bought them all and started watching Level 1 this morning.  I usually watch something Parelli first thing in the morning because it always get me inspired and motivated.  Anyway... the packaging is beautiful. Their similar to a huge leather bound book with the DVD's and gorgeous photos of Pat, Linda, and horses.  It also has Pat's wonderful and meaniful quotes.

We hope you had a nice Thanksgivng.  We just got home from a wonderful dinner at my sister, Laurie's, house.  We brought home a lot of good scrapes.  I wish Vegas and Rooster liked them, but I do know who will like them! Blu, Tommy, Trigger, Butch, Star, and Reeses' - my good ole doggie friends.

I took this picture at Pat and Linda's ranch in Pagosa Springs, Colorado when I was there last year for a four week course.

A frriend and I were talking about having playdays here for us and other people dedicated to Parelli once a month.  It doesn't matter what level you're studying, or if you're an instructor.  If you live close enough to come - I hope you'll join us.  Our first one will be Saturday, December 12th, 2009.  We'll start at 10am - break for lunch - then play some more.  Please think of two games for us all to play - it can be online, liberty, or freestyle.  We have many toys and obstacles at Savvy Stables, so bring your Imagination!

Savvy Stables Ocala Savvy Gold Summit Trip

Pat teaching in morning

Pat started the morning with Magic.  I was so happy to see her.  When Mike and I were driving in - the first horses we saw were Remmer and Allure in a pasture. It was "yeh" we're here and a good good feeling all over!   I love all Pat's horses, but I feel so familiar with the horses I first knew when I started Parelli.  In a sense they feel like family to me - just like Pat and Linda.  Anyway, after Pat's demo in the morning we were treated to a tasty, healthy lunch and the company of Pat and Linda.  We gathered in groups after lunch an

Awesome View

Pat and Linda's ranch is beautiful in Ocala - He told us it used to be a Private Zoo and one of the buildings (still there) held giraffes.  That is one tall building!

I thought I might be the person who traveled the farthest distance, but I wasn't .  Gold Member Students came from all over the world.

Savvy Stables in Escondido, CA arrived home from Summit in Ocala, Florida

Thunder and Lightening

I've been longing for time with Pat and Linda and that's exactly what I got at the "Gold Savvy Summit" in Ocala this past weekend.  When we arrived at Pat and Linda's we were greeted by their limousine.... "Thunder and Lightening".

to be continued...

Savvy Stables in Escondido, CA is going to the "Summit" in Ocala, Florida

My granddaughter, Taylor, on Vegas

We're off to Ocala on the 15th for the "Summit"!  I didn't think I'd ever go to Florida to see the Parelli's, but since my husband, Michael, gets flying credits - we chose to go there - I'll blog about it when I get home.

Anybody else from California going?

Savvy Stables in Escondido, CA - Bill W.

Is their any friends of Bill W. out there?

Savvy Stables in Escondido, CA - Vegas

Vegas and I went  to Walnut Grove Park in San Marcus, CA on Monday with Julie and a couple of other gals.

When I went to get Vegas to load her in the trailer, I told her we were going to go and have some fun.  You know how the Parelli's say, "your horse is your mirror" - well; I've been thinking about that because Vegas is the best, but sometimes she's serious and grouchy.  If I'm honest - I get like that too!  Sooooo my goal is to have fun and don't be worried.

Savvy Stables in Escondido, CA - Sonny

Boy, I wish I could change a pattern in 7 days like horses can!  I joined "Curves" about 4 years ago to fullfill the requirement of being physically fit for my horse.  Saturday I added Jazzercize to my exercise schedule.  Finally,  it seems like fitness is becoming a habit, but wholly molly FOUR YEARS!  I did quit "Curves" awhile back for about four months (thinking I would exercise at home with DVD's).  Within no time I was having trouble putting my leg over Vegas.  I'm pretty physical

Savvy Stables in Escondido, CA - Sonny/Bucky

IMGP2146.jpg

I'm not writing about Sonny tonight - I'll introduce you to Bucky.  She's three and a LBI.  We have a guy that helps us out named Ron.  He made me a really nice pedastal for my smaller arena uptop.  The only obstacle I've asked Sonny and Bucky to put two feet on is a tarp.  Well, Sonny does it really well, but Bucky is still a bit unconfident.  This morning I played with Bucky and put some carrots on the tarp.  She found them and had all four feet on the tarp - then I took her over to the pedastal - she was curious about it and liked biting the wood.&

Savvy Stables in Escondido, CA - Sonny

I listened to the teleseminar with Pat, Linda, and Neil tonight.  I was so touched by their honesty.  After I got through crying and learning new strategies for my own life journey - I could focus on learning for my horses.

I love them so much!  They are a huge part of my life.  I've learned so much about horses and living life, and I keep learning at a deeper level since my journey with them began eight years ago.
