Equine Affaire, Pomona, CA

This was the first year I spent the night up there, and we stayed in the campground - it is a really nice, clean campground with great showers. Thursday was very relaxing, because it isn't as crowded. Thursday night we watched some of the "Cowboy Challenge" and the second entry was a Parelli student. She did well - and I was really proud of and excited for her. Her horse was so cute - she had to jump two barrels and a bale of hay- she jumped the first barrel, went around the second barrel and then stopped at the hay and grabbed a bite - picking up the bale - then she jumped it with hay in her mouth! She wore her Parelli tack and shirt with pride. Craig Cameron was super nice to her - he seems to be a really good guy. Parelli instructor, Margit Deerman, was there also as a spectator. I saw quite a few Parelii friends there, but so sad we don't have any Parelli Demos at our local Equine Affaire. Maybe if we flood the office with our dissappointment - they will invite Parelli Intructors to give demos. Believe me it's needed there. I witnessed some good ole normal stuff and it's sad people are going home to torture their horses. We left Friday after our friend, Julie Picot, rode in the Halflinger Breed Demo. She rode sidesaddle in a beautiful proper lady outfit.
